Talking to ETimes exclusively Avtar Singh expressed his grief and also narrated the account of his meeting with the late actor.Since morning I was feeling a little upset and then I got to know that Diljit Sahab passed away. Dilip Kumar Ji a.k.a Yusuf Sahab I remember calling him Yusuf Sahab only. Though he lived a long life he is among those personalities who you wish could stay around forever. He even quoted a line from Gubaani and said Jeha Chiri likhiya teha hukam kamahe galeh aave Nanka sade uthi jaye This means that we do as we are commanded we all come to this world when God sends us, and we have to go back when he calls for us.Further, reminiscing Dilip Kumar he told us I cant help but recall those moments when Firoj bhai went to Bandra. Firoj bhai is one of my closest friends who knew Dilip Sahab very well. So one day he said paji lets go and meet Yusuf Sahab and I was like sure. So we went to his home and he greeted us so nicely gave us so much love. To be honest ese bande ko 10 15 logo ki umar lga deni chahiye. whatever God wishes the one who has come has to go. Muhammed Yusuf Khan, the tragedy king of the silver screen he won the best actor award 8 times at Filmfare Dada Sahab Phalke Award in 1994 Padam Bhushan in 1991 then again in 2015 he was amazing. His film Ram Aur Shyam is a very example of the same. Further he has done a number of amazing movies like Saudagar and swept everyone off their feet via his stellar performance he mentioned with a hint of pride for the late star in his voice. I believe that the film industry has faced a huge loss by Dilip Sahabs demise. May the Lord give him a place in his feet. Rest he will always continue to stay in our hearts.
