Chandigarh man held for attacking lady ambassador
Police here captured a 21-year-elderly person on Friday for supposedly attacking a lady negotiator posted at the British Deputy High Commission here.
The 60-year-old ambassador was attacked by the man when she was strolling towards the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association grounds in Sector 10 from her home in Sector 9 here around 6.30 am on Wednesday.
The blamed who was on a cruiser had come in from the other side and hit her on her back improperly, police said.
A police group captured the blamed close to the Housing Board Light Point here on the recognizable proof of the complainant.
Afterward, during the examination, it became known that the blamed had additionally carried out comparative violations and a body of evidence has effectively been enrolled against him at the Sector 26 police headquarters.
Police said the denounced was recognized as Vishwan, who hails from Nayagaon in Punjab. He fills in as a cook at Mani Majra here.
Police had examined the recording from close circuit TV cameras introduced nearby to follow the blamed.
Regarding the usual way of doing things of the denounced, police said while going to his obligation from Nayagaon to Mani Majra toward the beginning of the day, the blamed used to go through numerous inward area market regions here and target ladies morning walkers by contacting them improperly prior to escaping on his bicycle.
In her objection, the representative said she raised an alert and even pursued him, yet the man dashed away, police had said prior.
In the wake of getting the objection, the Chandigarh Police enlisted a case under Section 354-A (actual contact and advances including unwanted and unequivocal sexual suggestions) of the Indian Penal Code. — PTI
