Chhattisgarh: 2 CRPF faculty harmed in IED impact in Naxal-hit Bijapur
Two faculty of the Central Reserve Police Force were harmed after a strain ad libbed unstable gadget planted by Naxals went off in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur region on Thursday, a senior police official said.
The episode occurred around 10.45 am in a backwoods among Murkinar and Chinnekadepal camps of safety powers under Modakpal police headquarters limits, situated more than 400 km from the state capital Raipur, when a group of the CRPF's 170th contingent was out on a street security activity, Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) Sundarraj P said.
While the watching group was cordoning off the space, two constables, Sannidul Islam and K Balkrishna, having a place with a similar unit, coincidentally interacted with a tension IED association, setting off the impact, he said.
The two faculty got leg wounds, the authority said, adding that they were moved to a nearby clinic where their condition was supposed to be out of risk.
