On 1st day,90.5k kids vaccinated in Himachal Shimla
During the day, of the total 3.57 lakh youngsters identified for vaccination, 90,531 were given the first dose on opening day.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the vaccination campaign for the age group at Government Vijay Senior Secondary School (Boys), Mandi. Class XII humanities student Ravi Kumar was the first student to get the first dose of Covaxin.
Thakur has appealed to people to come forward for vaccination, as it is the only means to protect from coronavirus. He said Himachal Pradesh has about 3.57 lakh youngsters in the age group of 15-18 years who would be administered vaccination.
Thakur said as many as 4,259 educational institutions would be covered under the campaign.
