Sidharth Malhotra calls off his nine year long association with Matrix Entertainment likely to join Karan Johars Dharma Cornerstone Agency
Sidharth will now personally curate his portfolio, along with his team and oversee his brand management instead of delegating it to an external agency. However, there is no clarity yet as to why Sidharth has decided to go independent with his associations especially ahead of the release of his much-awaited film Shershaah. Sources say that the actor seems confident about this move.While he has decided to go independent for now it would not come as a surprise if he soon announces his association with Karan Johars talent agency Dharma Cornerstone Agency which was launched earlier this year.In February this year DCA was formally launched, and they introduced their first four talents Shanaya Kapoor Triptii Dimri Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya. They also have Mrunal Thakur and Dhairy Karwa in their rooster. Actor Ananya Panday and singer Dhvani Bhanushali have also left CAA Kwan and Matrix respectively to join dca.Sidharths association with Karan Johar goes way beyond his debut film. He stepped into the film world by assisting Karan in his 2010 film My Name Is Khan as a trainee. His next film Shershaah which will mark his first real-life biopic role as he plays Captain Vikram Batra.
